The volunteer recruitment for the Old Great Square’s Christmas has begun!

Old Great Square’s Christmas will take place during four weekends leading up to Christmas: 23rd–24th November, 30th November–1st December, 7th–8th December, and 14th–15th December 2024, from 11 AM to 5 PM at the Old Great Square and the Brinkkala Yard in Turku. We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to fill various roles during the event. Volunteers will have the opportunity to work in different areas, such as customer service at the info point, cleaning teams, and assisting with the setup and takedown of the event. No prior experience in event work is required – all you need is a positive attitude, enthusiasm, and a festive spirit! Our volunteers will be trained for their tasks and are covered by insurance for the event.

Volunteering is based on free will, and no financial compensation is offered. As a volunteer at the Old Great Square’s Christmas, you’ll join a cheerful community of volunteers, get a large dose of Christmas spirit, enjoy some fun activities on the weekends before Christmas, and of course, have as much coffee, gingerbread, and glögi as you can handle! In addition, volunteers will gain experience in event production, receive a volunteer certificate, and take home a small Christmas gift as a token of appreciation.
